"Pokrovsky Wedding. What is destined – that is bound"

The folklore celebration "Pokrovsky Wedding. What is destined – that is bound" is held in the village of Golubkovskoye in Alapaevsk district of Sverdlovsk region situated 221 km from Ekaterinburg by the historic road to Irbit (Babinovsky tract).

The event offers extensive demonstration of preserved rural wedding ceremony.

The programme includes meeting guests by the wedding spring, Golubkovsky wedding ceremony, honouring couples who are married for 25 and 50 years, concerts of folk groups, visiting Golubkovskoye historical and ethnographic museum featuring wedding dining-room and collection of wedding dresses dating back from the 30-s of the XX century till the present days.

During all celebration Pokrovsky fair operates as well as rural yards with items of folk arts and crafts, shopping arcades where one can buy souvenirs and gifts made by craftsmen, honey, nuts, berries, preserves and many more.
